![Created this my first year at Wellesley for the PAN Asian Cultural show [Spring 2009]. The 5 panels are made using construction paper from the campus center. I practically stayed up until 4 in the morning to do this. The entire backdrop in Jewett Auditorium is about 50ft by 27ft.
Stubborn me, I wanted a black background and because I could not get black construction paper in time, I ended up taking green paper and painting all of it black. OMG!!! In retrospect, it is a very stupid idea—> it was so time consuming. What the heck was I thinking! The worst part about this whole experience is having to climb up the ladder and placing all of the panels together. Never again.

I made this about 5 months ago but didn’t get a chance to post the picture. Well, it was mainly because I just couldn’t take a nice photo of it…hehehe. Basically, I poured coffee onto a long sheet of butcher paper I got from the campus center, picked some leaves from outside, dipped them into green paint, placed them on top of the coffee-paper and allowed everything to dry. Then I cut the paper into circles……[magic]…..and voilà! ;]

Made this from toilet paper roles. I have been meaning to do this project for like 3 months now but never got around to it. It now sits right above my calendar and is the first thing I see when I wake up in the morning. I feel so accomplished…sniff sniff - I can finally sleep peacefully tonight.
